At Bolton Arena we believe in making transportation affordable, sustainable, and fun! Our bike library offers a convenient way to explore the city, get active, and reduce your carbon footprint—all while enjoying the freedom of cycling. Whether you’re commuting, running errands, or simply taking a leisurely ride, or lea ing to ride the bike library is perfect for you to try. Bolton Arena bike library is a program that allows people to borrow bicycles for FREE in a way similar to borrowing books from a library. The library is supported by Transport for Greater Manchester who support lots of bike libraries in Greater Manchester. Bike Libraries are often run by local gove ments, universities, charities, or community organisations with the goal of promoting sustainable transportation, reducing car use, and encouraging healthy lifestyles.

How it works?

1. Sign Up Participants to complete a TfGM member registration form. 2 forms of ID required. 2. Choose Your Ride Browse our fleet of high-quality standard bicycles for both genders and children. Our bikes are well-maintained and suitable mainly for beginners 3. Borrow a Bike Whether it’s for a few hours or several days. You can reserve by emailing :-sport@boltonarena.com 4. Enjoy the Ride Use your bike to commute to work, or enjoy a scenic weekend ride. You’re free to use the bike anywhere within the Greater Manchester area 5. Retu It Once you’re done, retu the bike to any of our convenient retu stations. It’s that easy! 6. Additional Equipment D lock and helmet will be provided free of charge with each hire.

Bolton Arena is a trading name for Middlebrook Leisure Trust which is a registered charity.

It is our mission to inspire people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities to follow a lifelong passion for sport and healthy lifestyles through the provision of excellent sport & exercise facilities and sports programmes which are accessible to all.

Governed by a board of trustees, surplus revenues are reinvested into the facility, activities to benefit the local community.
